Why would you get your floor oiled? People who favour an oiled finish like the feel and warmth underfoot that it offers. It also gives a greater depth to the wood, as it sinks deep into the wood’s fibres.

As with all wood floor finishes though, regular maintenance should be undertaken to keep the oil’s protective properties at a maximum.
